Description:
The weather radar network of the National Meteorological Service (hereinafter OMSZ) consists of 5 dual-polarization Doppler radars manufactured by Enterprise Electronics Corporation (hereinafter EEC). The modernization of the Budapest radar, installed in 1999, is inevitable in order to ensure proper operation.
The moderninstallation - without the complete replacement of the radar - enables the radar station to fully perform operational 24/7 measurement tasks, with higher availability than before. The aim of the OMSZ is the radar configuration identified by the number 5756J(ob) manufactured by EEC, which meets the expectations of todayhis renovation and modernization. From a technical point of view, the proposed modernization means the replacement of the antenna drive and radar control unit of the radar equipment.
Within this framework, the winning Bidder must deliver the following components within 60 days after the entry into force of the contract:
- radar control unit (RCU)
- antenna moving system (servos, motors, slip ring, antenna trunk gear)
- computers and software necessary for the full control of the system
- for fitting the above units to the existing system (transmitter, antenna, power line, signal processing unit) snecessary elements, parts
- fixing elements needed to fix the above units
